My Therapeutic Approach and Style

Orelya Meyara is a Licensed Social Worker who received her master’s degree from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College and currently practices at Bloom Therapy and NYC Health and Hospitals in Brooklyn. She is passionate about providing her clients a safe, individualized, and nonjudgmental environment while using evidence-based practices and a mind-body-spirit holistic approach. She has extensive experience treating various disorders, including but not limited to schizophrenia, bipolar, depression, and generalized anxiety disorder. Her optimism, creativity, positive energy, and enthusiasm help her clients identify and manage negative thought processes with the goal of leading more joyous and fulfilling lives.

Orelya is a certified diplomate of the Academy of Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (A-CBT). She is passionate about normalizing symptoms of psychosis and is currently receiving training in CBT specifically for Psychosis (CBTp) by the INSPIRE Clinic at Stanford University. Her goal is to help clients reduce the distress associated with the symptoms of psychosis, increase awareness and acceptance of the whole self, and improve daily functioning.

Orelya is currently accepting a limited number of clients and is licensed in New York and New Jersey. She is fluent in English and French.
